Winter Warmers // 2014

We’re in December now and the weather is getting bloomin’ cold so I thought I would share a small post with you regarding what I must have especially for Winter.

1. A big thick scarf

Every girl needs a scarf to be able to chuck on over any outfit at stupid o’clock in the morning before running out of the door. I am currently wearing a blanket wrap as a scarf as they’re so thick and cosy and that way I have a 2 in 1 sort of thing as I can wear it as either a blanket wrap or a scarf, that’s a good idea eh?

So I have picked out for you two of my favourite scarves for this season along with the links below:

2. A cosy coat

I must have a very warm coat to keep me warm at all times and of course this is an essential for coping with winter! I also find that the bigger the coat the better because that results in bigger pockets so I have extra room for my every day needs (eg. lipstick, lipgloss, oh… and my phone!) .

These are links to two coats I am loving this winter. They would also look pretty on your Christmas wish list:

3. Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate?

I have recently been visiting coffee shops a lot more regularly and I blame both Costa and Starbucks. Their Christmas drinks are to die for! I also love having a hot drink as the cups keep my hands warm if I’m walking to or from college which is a bonus as I always forget my gloves and even when I do remember them I can’t not type on my phone whilst wearing them, that sucks. What’s your favourite hot beverage?

4. A Dark coloured nail polish

tiny wine ey - reds by essieI love nail varnish and personally I think wearing the right shades in the winter is important. My favourite shade for this time of year would have to be the dark reds/ burgundy. I have linked below two gorgeous varnishes:

5. Moisturiser

After reading all my other winter must haves you make think this one is rather strange but my skin is starting to become very dry and although I moisturise daily this weather is really playing havoc with my skin. I have also read other bloggers’ posts and I have seen some are having the same problem so I guess this is becoming common. I am now applying moisturiser in the morning and at night to try and recover my awfully dry skin. Linked below is my all time favourite:

6. Candles

I absolutely love candles and with it getting dark very early now I have an even better excuse to have at least one lit pretty much all the time. I found a beautiful smelling vanilla and coconut candle in primark but as they do not have a website which you can buy from and my camera is currently at my new house and I only have wifi at my old house I could not include a photo or a link but instead below I have included links to two of my favourite candles:

Also, I would just like to let you all know that my Decemeber Glossybox Review will be going up on Saturday and some time soon I will be posting a Winter Lookbook including my favourite coat, scarf and boots so be sure to look out for them both!

Love, Ashleigh xxx

  1. I love all of the things you’ve listed. I definitely need those things for winter as well. I’m really not a winter person, so a scarf is my favorite item. I literally want to wrap my face in it. LOL! Nice post!
